The Jeep Cherokee XJ (1984-2001) handles tough trails, but its factory unibody can suffer from flex and cracks under heavy mods like lifts and big tires, especially in the center inner areas. Our Inner Center Unibody Stiffeners provide targeted reinforcement, welding inside the rails: on the passenger side from the rear shock crossmember to roughly the middle centers; on the driver side from the same crossmember (including holes for fuel filter and fuel line mounts, plus a notch for the brake line tab) to the middle centers. They also extend to cover the bottom from the centers to just before the bump stops (aligning with inner rears), retaining holes for the rear sway bar.
Designed to overlap T-M Fab or other center stiffeners for double-plated bottom strength, these are offered in 10-gauge cold rolled steel (for superior work-hardened strength and smooth finish) or 3/16-inch pickled and oiled steel (thicker with a clean, scale-free surface for optimal welding and rust resistance). Customize with square or round weld holes. Sold in pairs for complete coverage, they're a perfect advanced add-on to basic kits or for rust repairs in salty environments. Welding is required, with possible minor grinding for fitment.
